After India it was off to Thailand. I have to admit that India wore on me towards the end. The extreme poverty, heat and filth were tough to stomach (literally) for two weeks. It was a pleasant surprise arriving in Bangkok which is relatively clean, very modern and everything works. My brother Craig joined me on this leg of the trip. Thankfully, he pretty much covered most of my Bangkok costs. Bangkok for a poor backpacker like me is very expensive.

The floating markets were really cool. You hire a boat to take you to each station. While you go from main pod to main pod, other smaller boats try and sell you “stuff”. It was a great time.
Craig, Tommy and Kung Goy our Thai friend.
Bangkok claims to have the largest reclining Buddha in the world. To tell you the truth its kinda hard to get excited about it after you’ve been to Kushinagar.
They could hear it in Chang Mai.
I kinda got templed out when we were in Bangkok. I can’t even remember the name of this one. All I know is that it was on the other side of the river.
This is a gout attack waiting to happen. Mom would be all over these shrimp.
Golf at the windmill. Tommy’s friend Vagaroon was a member here.Â
Croc attack!

Our caddies. These 40 something beauties navigated us around the course. Unfortunately, we were much better at reading putts then they were.Â
We also went to see a kick boxing event. It was awesome. The sport is super fast and intense. They were so fast I couln’t even take a picture.  I highly recommend going to this ghetto fabulous event.
Of course we had the gratuitous trip to Nana Plaza and Pad Pong. Just looking of course. Nana was like a scene in Apocalypse now. Red lights everywhere. Tommy was kind enough to show us around. All I have to say is BEWARE of the lady boys. YIKES!
You guys look pretty cool raising the roof… hahaha.
And the picture of your friend with the crocodile with the golfball in his mouth reminds me of Happy Gilmore.
let’s see, golf, seafood, prostitutes… hmm. this does seem like your kind of city c-dogg. 😉
Hey….did you see the ping pong show? LOL. hope you had fun.
